Led face light therapy

Led light therapy is a non-invasive and painless treatment that enters the skin’s layers to improve the skin. During treatment, you might feel some warmth but no discomfort. People with any skin type and colour can use led light therapy as it doesn’t use ultraviolet (UV) light, so it doesn’t cause damage or burns to your skin. 

How Does Light Therapy work? Using specific wavelengths of colour infrared we can deliver clinically proven doses of light energy to target receptors within our cells. When these receptors are stimulated, cellular activity is increased causing many different natural body processes to be activated.

To see improvement in your skin, you need to have regular treatments.

Led light therapy helps treat a variety of skin concerns and conditions, including:

Contraindications: 

If you have any of the following this treatment can not be carried out ​

  • Clients with Epilepsy

  • Pregnancy 

  • You must wait five days after Botox or cosmetic fillers

  • Some Thyroid Conditions

  • People with a history of skin cancer

  • Systemic Lupus erythematosus should also avoid this kind of treatment

  • The use of photosensitizing medications (i.e. lithium, melatonin, phenothiazine antipsychotics and certain antibiotics)

  • Diseases that involve the retina of the eye (such as diabetes)

Aftercare advice:

  • Keep the skin cool and calm. Avoid anything that raises your body temperature, such as hot showers, a sauna, steam rooms, and exercise. 

  • Don’t clean your skin in the evening after your treatment

  • Gently cleanse your skin using a mild cleanser for the next 48 hours

  • Avoid sunbeds and tanning in direct sunlight

  • Stay sun safe. For sun safety and protection, as always, continue to apply an SPF 50+ especially when outside.

It’s rare to experience side effects from Led light therapy. If side effects do occur, they may include:

  • Increased inflammation

  • Rash

  • Redness

  • Pain
